Gwyneth Paltrow Developed Her Own Acting Technique

GWYNETH-PALTROW GWYNETH Paltrow says following her instincts and listening to her mother taught her how to act.

Speaking at the Spence School last week, the Iron Man star — whose mom is Hollywood legend Blythe Danner — told students she has no training beyond what she learned there.

“I studied drama here, but I didn’t study it past being at Spence … My mother … has done a lot of stage work. I got a great education from her … and growing up here where I went to the theater all the time,” she said.

“I’ve developed my own technique, but the most important thing is your instincts.”

Paltrow — who has two children, daughter Apple, seven, and five-year-old son Moses, with husband Chris Martin — recently admitted she stopped caring about acting when she had children.

“When I first had my kids, I just didn’t want to be anywhere else,” she said. “Now they are older, I feel my sense of self coming back as an artist. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to get good parts later in my life — like Meryl Streep. But still I’ve starred in a lot of great films and won a lot of great awards.”
